Ndutu plains situated between Ngorongoro and southern Serengeti. Ndutu is famous wildebeest calving area covered by short grass plains, acacia woodland, marshes area, Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek. The wildebeest calving event takes place during green season between December to March.
Ndutu is among the best place to visit with consistently wildlife viewing all year round especially predators as Cheetah, lion, leopard, jackal, bat eared fox. Also Elephants, giraffes, gazelles, wildebeest, zebra, impala, warthog, dik dik found to the area. Lake Ndutu support varieties of birds include flamingoes.
